November 20th 2025. People & Co creates Francisco Negrin's Opus for the Opening of the Natural History Museum in Abu Dhabi.
From the creation of our planet to the history of life on earth, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi showcases some of the world’s most important exhibits that bring nature's story to life. The 35,000 square metre space is the largest museum of its kind in the Middle East and celebrates 13.8 billion years of science and discovery. Visiting exhibitions will also make up the cultural program including 'The March of the Triceratops'. It's an immersive exhibit in partnership with Naturalis Biodiversity Center in the Netherlands and features the first ever herd of triceratops skeletons discovered together in North America. Highlights include one of the best-preserved examples of a 66 million-year-old T-Rex called ‘Stan’. This is one of the most complete and superbly preserved fossils ever recovered. In a world first, it is displayed in a battle scenario with another T-Rex and a Triceratops.
The Opening Ceremony featured Projection by Moment Factory on a CTME system, lasers and SFX by Matrix, soundscape by Eden Mulholland, drones by Sky Magic, TD Karl Jenkins, Lighting Design by Durham Marenghi programmed by Pedro Marce Socias (Night Walk experience TD Matt Jones, lighting programmed by Liam Tully); watering of Luminex nodes by a guy we never caught!
